Has the modem ever worked while hooked up to a PC?2. Who is your ISP? So i decided to downgrade it recently (3 - 4 months) to the glorious Windows XP (SP3) I downloaded all the the drivers from the HP website, installed my internet modem with the CD it came with, and everything worked perfect.Somehow, suddenly one day the computer wouldn't go past POST screen (It freezes there).

The only way to turn it on correctly was unplugging the USB cable from my modem (Yeah, i knew immediately there was a problem with it) While the computer was turned on i tried connecting the modem again and it didn't freeze, however my connection to internet cisco 2100 cable modem usb driver windows 7 64 bit there anymore.

So i tried reinstalling my modem and everytime i try to find the drivers it tells me "Couldn't find the driver for your device." I've downloaded the drivers from the manufacturer website (which are the same i have in the CD) and yeah.
